Biography[]
Dr. Maurice Dalton, is a sim in the fictional towns of Sun-Crest Point and Arbor Acres.
Storyline[]
Sun-Crest Point I[]
Maurice first shows his face as the boss of Reggie Andrews. He and Reggie quickly come to blows at the hospital. Maurice constantly yells at Reggie and, by doing so weakenes his nerves and making him mess up even more. Finnaly, this leads Reggie to confront Maurice and tells him that he thinks that Maurice doesn't like Reggie because he is gay. Maurice is quick to deny this and the two begin arguing which ends in an intense kiss. After this the two engage in a secret affair. Reggie desire for them to take their relationship public but, Maurice is afaird of what people will think as well as him losing his job. Reggie agrees to keep it secret but it becomes too much for Reggie. They end their relationship after realizing that Maurice needs time to come to terms with who he is and needs to think about what he wants in life. This leads to him transfering to another hospital, out of town.
Sun-Crest Point II[]
Maurice then returns to Sun-Crest Point, almost right after Reggie gets divorced from his husband, Harry Repel. He is quick to apologize to Reggie for the way he treated him and that gain closure on their relationship. However, their old spark is re-ignited upon seeing each other again and Maurice tranfers back to Sun-Crest Memorial Hospital. They both, secretly, vow not to react on their feelings as they think it would be making the same mistake twice. Their colleage, Kevin McCain is quick to pick up on the sexual tension between them and encourages Reggie to give Maurice another chance. Finally they succumb to attraction again and do their relationship the right way this time and go public. Though they are happy, the return of Reggie's ill father, Trent Andrews, makes Reggie realize that though he cares for Maurice... he still and will always love Harry. This causes Reggie to again break up with Maurice, making him furious. He then offers Kevin the chance to accompany him to Arbor Acres to open a private practice, Kevin accepts.
Arbor Acres[]
Maurice and Kevin were shown to have re-located to Arbor Acres. However, Kevin and Maurice's practice has tanked and they are now once again working at the hospital. Like Kevin and Bianca, Maurice has become extremely depressed with the way his life has turned out he has had a twice failed relationship with Reggie, he is getting older and, is still childless and single. He also feels that his career has gone nowhere. He then looks into possibly adopting a child but, he fails his examination and, if not permitted to be auitable to adopt a child. Maurice then becomes even more depressed. Then, he encounters Wanda Kerwin, a new co-worker at the hospital. After an evening of drunken sourness, they discuss their lives which are equivalent to failures and, Wanda mentions how she would like to be taken more seriously and, Maurice wishes for more meaing in his life. Then they both mention how they would one day like to children, causing an idea to spark between them... what if they did have a child?! Wanda is at first puzzled because Maurice is gay. but he tells her he would be willing to swallow his pride and, do the deed. Wanda, agrees to the idea.
Then Maurice meets Justin Baxter, the younger brother of Bianca Baxter McCain. Though Justin is younger than him Maurice feels an instant connection and, comes to quickly think there could be a possible future with Justin but, must choose between a budding romance and his desire to be a father before it is too late. Maurice and Wanda ultimately go through with their plan to be parents and, have a night of 'passion.' Wanda does become pregnant and, Maurice decides to keep her pregnancy a secret from Justin after a conversation between them, where Justin confessed that he can't stand children. Maurice is then forced to live somewhat of a double life during Wanda's pregnancy as he tries to be there for her, while also being in a relationship with Justin. Wanda then gives birth to her and, Maurice's son, Aaron. Maurice is so elated and, when JUstin meets the little guy for the first time, Maurice confesses to the whole pregnancy scheme. Justin is infuriated that Maurice would keep such a secret from him and go behind his back causing a break up between the two.
