Story[]
Karen arrives at Halcoyn Hill to begin setting up and cooking for Daria's party, that she doesn't want. She brings Mary Ann along as she has hired her as a kitchen scullion to help in the catering business. Daria is happily impressed with Karen upon learning and hearing of her honest and earnest lifestyle. However, Mary Ann then spots Winston who immediately catches her eye. She tells Daria how she is attracted to him. Daria then informs Mary Ann that Winston is married and is expecting a baby. However, Mary Ann shows her true colors by telling Daria she doesn't care... she always gets what she wants. Alicia then tells John that she thinks she might have made a mistake marrying Ted and that she might still be in with him. John says he is sorry for running out on her and Candi years agao and that he wants them to try and be a real family. Alicia responds by telling him she knows he is sorry but she tells him that she has to see things through with Ted, she admits that though she loves John she has also grown fond of her new husband.
Mae and Escobar get dressed for the party and Mae informs Escobar that she and Daria have made ammends for their argument. However, Mae tells Escobar that she believes her hurtful words have put Daria in a bad place and she thinks she pushed Daria back with William and that she believes he will only hurt her in the end, again. Escobar then tells Mae that is why he loves her, her caring nature. They then share a kiss and Mae calls a babysitter for Agatha as they depart for Halcoyn Hill. Reggie returns home and is suprised when he learns that Catherine was invited to Daria's party, wasn't she trying to con William like a week ago? She tells him she was suprised as well but she is never one to pass on a party. Reggie then tells her he is too tired to go but will watch Franky for her. Catherine then departs and Reggie begins to think about his romantic and sexual encounter with Maurice today. Rosanna decides to skip the party and spends the evening with Lucia. She tells her about how she tried to tell William, but saw him with Daria and backed down.
Candi arrives home with good news for her mother, that she has reunited with Jasper. Alicia is happy for her daughter and tells her that she needs to stay home tonight as she and Ted are attending Daria's party. Candi asks if Jasper can come over. Though Alicia is hesitant as she knws teenage boys, she decides that it's all right and allows Jasper to come over. When Ted gets home and gets dressed for the party he notices how shakey Alicia is and begins to wonder if she has un-covered his secret, un-aware she has one of her own. He decides to ignore it and they leave, silently. Before the party starts Mona catches Winston talking at the Hacloyn Hill compound gate with Cassidy. She then realizes that's why she was asking about Reggie and why he was being so suspicious. She then calls Ralph and tells him finished getting ready and to get over to Halcoyn Hill, fast. Jasper arrives at Candi's and the two begin making out when Jasper stops and tells Candi that he didn't emancipate from his parents, but his father had a mental breakdown and ran off. He then begins to cry in her arms.
The guests then arrive for the very formal party. Daria becomes guilt ridden as she wonders what people must think of her for going back to Will after her attempts to end his reign of terror. Ted becomes nervous when he spots Mae and Escobar. He tries to keep Alicia and Mae apart but they eventually meet at the bar and to Ted's delight Mae doesn't mention a thing. Escobar and Ted engage in some brief conversation when Escobar asks how Ted feels having John around. Ted tells him that John hurt Alicia so badly that he knows he has nothing to worry about, he and Alicia have a long and happy life ahead of them... Yeah right! Mona then drags Ralph into a secluded room and informs him of Winston's suspicions and of Cassidy's involvement. Ralph then point blanky asks if the baby is his. Mona begins to cry and tells him she honestly doesn't know. Ralph then walks off and bumps into Karen and knocks her down. He helps her up and apologizes. The two then share a long and silent gaze, making an instant connection.
Lucia comforts Rosanna and tells her that Daria can never hold onto a man, even though Lucia is supposed to be her friend as well. Rosanna then asks Lucia whay she hasn't re-married yet. Lucia tells her that she has tried dating but it never seems to work out. She then tells her that she thinks Ricardo was her one and only love. Catherine arrives and William begins to drag Daria around and tries to get romantic in front of Catherine. Daria then realizes that the whole party was a ploy for William to make his young ex-fiancee jealous. She then causes another scene and dumps William in front of everyone. Instead of being heartborken Daria feels empowered and walks off happily, this time ending the relationship. Reggie's reading the newspaper is then dis-rupted when there is a knock at the door. It's Maurice and instead of talking he kisses him and they toddle along in the house before ending up in Reggie's bedroom. Daria then arrives at Lucia's and tells them about the party. They welcome her in and the three women have drinks toasting their failed relationship with William Halcoyn.
