Story[]
IN the heat of Mona and Winston's arguement he announces that he wants a divorce after all, when Mona goes into labor. She and Winston then stop their bickering and Mona is rushed off to the hospital. Everyone's day stops and practically everyone (Mae, Alicia, Rosanna, Ralph, William, Derwood, Escobar, Daria, Lucia, Ted, Candi and Cassidy) arrive at the hospital to await the birth. Ralph is visibly nervous and Cassidy looks on, seemingly sorry for having accepted Winston's case after seeing the internal damage it has done. Mona then gives birth to Deirdre "DeDe" Halcoyn. It is then revealed by Reggie, who delivered the child that Winston is in fact the father. Though he is elated to have a newborn daughter Winston tells Mona that their reconciliation was built upon a lie that not only his wife kept from him, but his brother also. Winston tells everyone he feels betrayed and informs him that he and Mona are divorcing, he then leaves the hospital and goes back to Halcoyn Hill.
Everyone then leaves the hospital, except Daria and Rosanna who attempt to console Mona during such an emotional time. Rosanna then leaves and tells Daria she has a meeting. However, on her way out she catches Will looking at baby DeDe and smiling. Rosanna, seeing the man she knows and loves emerge, runs to William and kisses him. Ralph then goes to see Winston up at Halcoyn Hill. He congratulates his brother on his newborn daughter. He is met with Winston's harsh words. Winston and Ralph then get into an argument and Ralph tells him that he and Mona did sleep together and that he WAS attracted to Mona but not anymore. When asked why not Ralph tells Winston that she only has eyes for him (Winston). However, Winston tells Ralph that he and Mona are over and this time for good. Ralph then leaves and tells Winston he has a date, with Karen. Cassidy then comes home to Jasper and they begin talking. Cassidy then notices hoe strong Jasper has been through everything and thinks he needs some stability in his life, she then asks if it would be OK if she adopted him, He hugs her and says YES!
On their way out of the hospital Mae and Escobar tell Alicia and Ted of their engagement. Alicia hugs Mae and tells her of her excitement. To Ted's horror, Alicia asks why she and Escobar broke up in the first place. A confused Mae tells her of Candi and Jasper's plan and how they broke them up in hops of Mae and Hank falling in love. She then ends the statement with, "didn't Ted tell you?" Alicia and Ted then walk home. Upon their return a fight ensues. Ted tells her that he simply forgot. When Candi arrives home Alicia berates her for trying to play cupid for her own selfish reason and tells her she is grounded. Alicia then lifts the groudning and apologizes to Ted for yelling at him as she is sure he just forgot, which puzzles bith Ted and his step-daughter. When Alicia walks away and says she is taking a nap, a buble with John's picture is seen. This means she has no room to judge or accuse over then fact that she is keeping her own secret and feelings from Ted.
Daria then leaves Mona's room and spots Rosanna and William making out! Though she was seeing him like yesterday she looks on happily as she knows that Rosanna has always loved William and vice versa. Mary Ann and Karen chat over Karen's date with Ralph. Mary Ann's eyes light up when she learns that Ralph is Winston's half-brother. Ralph then arrives to take karen out but whiel he sits down and wait for her to get ready he meets and talks to Mary Ann. He informs her of the days events which only play into Mary Ann's hands when he tells her that Winston and Mona are divorcing. Karen then comes downstairs stunningly beautiful and she and Ralph go out for a fabulous dinner. Mae and Escobar then arrive home and tell Agatha of their engagement she is happy and tells her mother that she hopes this marriage lasts. They all share a laugh and Lucia arrives and tells Mae and Escobar that they all need to begin wedding planning. Ted then begins to wonder why Alicia took back her anger so quickly.
John then bumps into Catherine while downtonw and the two become re-introduced. He is shocked when he learns she is a mother. She responds b telling him that she is shocked he is now deciding on being a father. The two exchange some light banter before walking off in separate ways. John then decides to go see Cassidy and talk to her. When he arrives he learns of the adoption. At the hospital Reggie and Maurice talk about maintaing a platonic relationship at work, but whind up making out in a closed corridor. Catherine then goes to see her deceased uncle's gave yet again and takes Franky along with her. Franky then runs away from her when he spots someone familiar, and so does Catherine. The man is revealed to be Arnold Werner. He informs her that his siter called him and he is only in town for a while to see Mary Ann and Franky. As John, Cassidy and Jasper are all talking someone, from Cassidy's past, shows up on her doorstep, a man named Richard Lytner.
